Boundwallz is an innovative art project that uses muralism to redefine the city. Renovating Facades with works adaptated to the environment, we seek to move away from the tide of random images that flood our streets in the form of advertisements and trivialise art. Paintings are perceived with more than an esthetic function: It could for example convert an unused property into an open-air gallery or remind that a certain empty space is part of the downtown for example. Further, to play with the adjacency and to modify the spatial perception like architecture does. The proposal does not aim just to beautify.

 GLOBAL PROJECT AND MICROPROJECTS:

The idea consists of a multitude of microprojects in different locations. Each pictorial work is accompanied by a "Problem-Solution" documentation work that is compiled, with a view to being publicised in the media and shown at events parallel to the subsequent interventions. Although the global aim is to create a documentary or final catalogue with all the microprojects, the documents of each intervention, in the form of photo and/or video, will be ready to be shown separately by the creators or benefactors.

There are several scales for these micro-projects depending on the surfaces to be intervened and the funding available; starting with a single wall by one artist, up to interventions on groups of buildings by several artists with parallel exhibition events.
